We are happy to announce that this year Karl Mechtler received the APMA Lifetime Award and is now eligible to bear the title Prof. h.c. (APMA). Karl was a co-founder of the Austrian Proteomics Association and has served as a president for our society for several years. The innovations and the research he and his group have worked on in the last decades have had great impact in the Proteomics community and he is a renowned member in this society all over the world.
