Large Cluster of Excellence Circular Bioengineering is looking to fill a number of PhD and post-doc positions. This interdisciplinary, cross-university consortium aims to harness cutting-edge research in molecular biosciences and biotechnology, as well as design and engineer bio-based materials that are sustainable, efficient, and waste-free.

Specifically, within this large job-application call, research group of Bioanalytics lead by Prof. Ruth Birner-Gruenberger at the TU Wien is searching for two PhDs and one postdoc to tackle Functional Proteomics for biocatalyst discovery (4 years (30 h/week); PhD 1.12), Redox proteomics of biocatalytic processes (4 years (30 h/week); PhD 3.1), Functional proteomics of microorganism and bioprocesses (12 months (40 h/week, with option to prolong to 36 months); Postdoc 3.8).

For PhD positions, the ideal candidate should hold an MSc degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or equivalent. Experience in proteomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics will be an added advantage.

For Postdoc position the ideal candidate should hold a PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or equivalent and have international experience, proven publication and presentation activity and experience in proteomics and bioinformatics. Experience in metabolomics, recombinant expression in different hosts and characterization of enzymes will be an added advantage.
