It’s a wrap!

Our interdisciplinary APMRS-CEEPC 2024 conference organized by the Austrian Proteomics and Metabolomics Association (APMA) and the Central and Eastern Proteomic Conference (CEEPC) successfully concluded last Wednesday after three fruitful days of interesting keynotes, insightful short talks and plenty of good ideas and discussions.

We hosted over 150 registered participants, 8 invited keynote speakers, 22 short talks and more than 30 posters. Outside of the scientific sessions, we were able to connect to like-minded researchers and find new friends at the APMA Stammtisch on Monday and a delightful conference dinner on Tuesday evening. After 9 diverse and in-depth sessions about proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics the conference finished by honoring outstanding work in the omics fields during our yearly award ceremony.

Aside of conference awards for best presentation and best poster, APMA recognized 5 researchers with the APMA Young Investigator Award and 2 researchers with the APMA Society Medal! For the first time we also awarded the APMA Empowerment Grant aimed at supporting underrepresenting groups in our community. All conference contributions by the next generation scientists were of extremely high quality leading to 4 oral and 4 poster APMRS CEEPC awards. Applause to all award and grant recipients, which you can find here! 👏

We are deeply thankful to all participants, speakers, contributors and most importantly all the organizers and sponsors who made this conference happen! Thank you! 👏
