APMRS2025 Recap

Another great APMRS is behind us!

With 130 registered participants, APMRS2025 took place from 12-13th of September 2025 at the Getreidemarkt campus of TU Wien, in the very heart of Vienna. We are incredibly thankful to all the sponsors, amazing keynotes and speakers, as well as poster presenters and all other participants who made this event special with their presence and contributions. Year after year, APMRS remains the very heart of networking and connection fostering for mass spectrometry scientists across Austria and beyond.

But the core values of APMA are not only to connect but also to support, promote and recognize both young talents as well as those who are pushing the boundaries of the field. In this regard, special congratulations are due to our annual Young Investigator Awardees:

  1. Micha J. Birklbauer in the category of BIONFORMATICS
  2. Anna-Sophia Egger-Hörschinger in the category PROTEOMICS
  3. Lisa Panzenböck in the category METABOLOMICS
  4. Isabella Burger in the category MULTIOMICS

As well as to our Society Medal Awardee Manuel Matzinger, now newly elected secretary of the APMA Board, for his excellent contribution to the field of single cell proteomics.

Congratulations also to the best Young Investigator Short Talks of the symposia, namely to Sarah Reindl (TU Wien), Fatma Öykü Elaslan (CeMM) and Louise Marie Buur (FH Hagenberg), as well as best Poster presentations by Martina A. Höllwarth (Medical University of Innsbruck), Maya Petek (University of Maribor) and Raphael Pfleger (TU Wien).
